James W. Stover

Came to the United States from Brazil in 1957. He moved to Dallas after completing his Masters Degree at Columbia University in New York and started the art program for the Dallas County Community College system, where he is presently a faculty member.

Stover has exhibited his artwork in numerous galleries and one-man shows. He has been widely respected as a juror and lecturer during his extensive teaching career and his artwork is found in many private and corporate collections throughout the country. His works and personal papers have been documented in the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Art.
